Dancing for Maggie’s Glasgow: My Summer Long Dance Fundraiser
From 11–17 July 2026, I will be taking part in the Summer Long Dance, Movement Medicine®’s flagship event, held in Devon.
The Summer Long Dance is a powerful, life-affirming ceremony where our community comes together to honour life - to dance deeply, to grieve, to let go, to give thanks, to raise funds, to support causes that matter, and to resource ourselves for the year ahead.
As part of this event, I am choosing to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Care in Glasgow.
This cause is deeply close to my heart.
Over the last few years, cancer has deeply affected my family, and its impact is still very present in our lives. I have seen how much compassionate, practical and emotional support can matter when life is turned upside down.
Maggie’s offers vital support to people living with cancer, and to the families, friends and loved ones alongside them. Maggie’s offers vital support to people living with cancer, and understands that families, friends and loved ones often need care and support alongside them.
This dance is my offering in support of all those affected by cancer, so that they may feel held, supported and less alone.
For me, the Long Dance is not only about dance, it is about intention, generosity, community and giving something back. It is a way of bringing intention into action, and turning love into support for something real and needed.
Every contribution, however small or large, will help Maggie’s Glasgow continue offering compassionate, practical and emotional support to everyone with cancer and all the people who love them.
Please give what you can, and share this with those you love.
With love and gratitude,
Carolyn 💛
